Please join us in congratulating Jennifer Velarde as our recent Kensie Cares honoree! As Director of Human Resources at KensieMae, Jennifer has consistently gone above and beyond for employees while focusing on creating an equitable and enjoyable work culture. She is known for her reliability as well as genuine kindness in the way she reaches out to team members simply to ‘check in’ and see how they are doing. Whether it’s onboarding new staff, overseeing our plentiful company benefits offerings, or organizing creative and fun teambuilding events for an all-remote team of 60+ spread out over 25 states, Jennifer’s always going the extra mile in such a caring and conscientious manner.

"She’s meticulous and thorough in her approach, ensuring the company adheres to all federal and state regulations while at the same time - and, most importantly! - prioritizing confidentiality, empathy, and compassion for each employee’s individual needs. She has been a pleasure to work with and integral in upholding the engaging, fair, supportive, and welcoming culture here at KensieMae."

Jennifer chose to donate to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, which supports Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, benefitting its research, education, and patient-care programs that set international standards in cancer care. “The excellent care and compassion they give to all their patients is incredible. We are sincerely grateful for the kindness and support they have given not only to our friends but to our family as well,” Jennifer said.

The Roswell Park Alliance Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that manages all donations made to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Since its inception, over $455 million has been contributed to benefit Roswell Park's research, education and patient-care programs.
Their mission is to maximize dollars available for the most promising lifesaving research, treatment and prevention programs, while supporting the psychosocial needs of patients and families touched by cancer. Fundraising events and initiatives are carried out through a partnership between committed Roswell Park Alliance volunteers and Foundation staff.

Each quarter, we choose one KensieMae employee who has most exemplified the qualities of work, initiative, ingenuity, teamwork, and exceeding effort that KensieMae prides its reputation on (both to our clients and partners, as well as internally). We make a $1,000 donation in that recipient's name to the deserving nonprofit of their choosing.
