Friends for Life is a dedicated animal rescue organization that has been making a significant impact since 1993. Their dedication to finding permanent, loving homes for animals in need is evident in the 10,000+ lives they have saved.
Originally known as Citizens for Tempe Strays, the organization quickly gained momentum and developed a strong volunteer base. Within two years, they were handling hundreds of adoptions annually.
In 1996, Friends for Life leased three buildings in downtown Gilbert, Arizona, which became a loving sanctuary for animals awaiting their forever homes. Over time, their focus evolved, and they changed their name to Friends for Life Animal Rescue to better reflect their commitment which goes beyond adoption, as they offer a lifelong commitment to the animals they rescue.
Operating as a registered nonprofit, Friends for Life relies on the support of generous donors and volunteers. They prioritize rescuing homeless and stray animals, focusing on spaying and neutering to address the issue of overpopulation. Through community education, they promote responsible pet ownership.

We created the Kensie Cares program in honor of the company's namesake, who shows generosity and a willingness to help others. Kensie Cares embodies the spirit of both rewarding our fantastic team with a well-deserved show of appreciation and helping to provide some much-needed support for those less fortunate.

Each quarter, we choose one KensieMae employee who has most exemplified the qualities of work, initiative, ingenuity, teamwork, and exceeding effort that KensieMae prides its reputation on (both to our clients and partners, as well as internally). We make a $1,000 donation in that recipient's name to the deserving nonprofit of their choosing.
