Kensie Cares | Honoree Dawn Anderson and Fergus Falls Walk of Flags
/Please join us in congratulating Dawn Anderson as our recent Kensie Cares honoree! As National Training Manager at KensieMae University, Dawn earned this recognition with her great attitude and willingness to help others. Dawn has also contributed significantly to KMU education offerings with new ideas for content creation from her years of prior training experience in the mortgage industry.
"Since joining KensieMae, Dawn has contributed to many aspects of KMU's content development and live training, further improving curriculum and the overall student journey," Arthur Davis, SVP of Education & Training and Dawn's supervisor, stated. "She excels at diving into a client's loan process to identify precisely how to instruct their staff with best practices gained from her years of experience with training and mortgage knowledge. We're fortunate to have Dawn as part of the KensieMae muster!"
Dawn explains why she chose this particular nonprofit for her matching donation below:
“I chose this organization because I feel it is important to honor those who have and are serving our country. As a wife and mother of military men, I feel very strongly that the men and women that serve in the military are the true heroes of our country and should be lifted up as such. This donation will help the organization maintain the flag display for years to come.”
Fergus Falls Veterans Walk of Flags describes its mission in this way:
The Fergus Falls Veterans Walk of Flags began September 2, 2002. Perrie Sheldon came up with the idea after visiting his son and daughter-in-law in Sheldon, Iowa and viewing the town’s “Avenue of Flags”, where his son had purchased a flag in Perrie’s name to honor him. He thought that would be a great idea for Fergus Falls and along with co-founder, Stan Morrill, had various meetings and discussions with the City of Fergus Falls. The late Mayor Kelly Ferber gave the project the go-ahead. Soon after that it was named “Veterans Walk of Flags” and would start in Veterans Memorial Park in Fergus Falls. Flags were sold at $75 a piece to honor any veteran, living or deceased, who served in any war with an Honorable Discharge. At present, the Walk of Flags is maxed out at 1,922 flags and are displayed in 10 areas around town: Veterans Park, NP Park, Court House, Junius Ave., Union Ave., Wright Park, Neese Park, City Hall Park, Friberg/Summit Ave., and the Minnesota Veterans Home. Flags are displayed 10 times per year. They are put up around 7:15 a.m. by volunteers working out of 4 different trailers and taken down at 4:30. Volunteers are always welcome!
Once again, we’d like to congratulate Dawn Anderson on her Kensie Cares recognition and thank her for all her hard work and notable contributions here at KensieMae.

We created the KensieMae Cares program in honor of the company's namesake, who shows generosity and a willingness to help others. Kensie Cares embodies the spirit of both rewarding our fantastic team with a well-deserved show of appreciation and helping to provide some much-needed support for those less fortunate.
Each quarter, we choose one KensieMae or KensieMae Technologies employee who has most exemplified the qualities of work, initiative, ingenuity, teamwork and exceeding effort that KensieMae prides its reputation on (both to our clients and partners, as well as internally). We make a $1,000 donation in that recipient's name to the deserving nonprofit of their choosing.
